We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the support department of our client school in Winchester. This is a full time position within the learning support department and will involve supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, whether these are SEN, behaviour or learning related.
The Role:
- Teaching Assistant position, immediate start.
- Opportunity for full time or part time work
- Fantastic rates of pay
- Possibility of a fixed term contract offered to the right candidate
The Ideal Candidate:
- Have experience working with children and young people
- Have a confident and friendly personality
- Have excellent behaviour management skills
- Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to do this.
You will be working within a large college just outside of the city of Winchester. It is highlighted in the most recent Ofsted report that the SLT have strong plans in future for the school, with this vision being shared and supported by the staff. The school have recently had a huge investment, resulting in excellent facilities for teaching and learning and the results of this can be seen in the schools improving results.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school or college is preferred, however we would considered applicants from those with similar transferable experience such as those who have supported young people with any behaviour, learning or SEN related needs in a different capacity. We would also like to hear from any recent graduates who are considering a future career in education and would like to seek further experience in a secondary school before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.
