We have an opportunity to make a difference to pupils learning and education within this Learning Support Assistant role at an ‘Good’ Primary school which is located on the outskirts of Radcliffe.

This is the ideal position for a recent graduate looking for more experience working within Primary education prior to exploring a teacher training programme, or an experienced teaching assistant looking for a new challenge. This primary school isn’t complacent, they provide the best education they can due to their inspirational leadership, continuous monitoring and evaluation not only for pupils progress and development but for staff training also.

As a Learning Support Assistant within this ‘Good’ Primary school you will hold a variety of responsibilities in supporting a range of pupils across the ages of 4-11.

You will be expected to:

• Support, mentor and provide tuition sessions to pupils that struggle to engage within mainstream classes

• Work on a 1:1 basis with SEN pupils

• Monitor the progress and attainment of pupils you are allocated to support

• Provide classroom support to class teachers and assist in building learning resources that can be utilised within classes

Due to a shortage within their support staffing department, this position is available to start immediately. You will initially be employed on a temporary basis until the end of the school year. This school have highlighted that this is a progressive role and the ideal applicant will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
