Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can truly impact the lives of young people? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Full-Time Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in SEMH schools in Leigh, supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to support students who require a more tailored, supportive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs

  • Assist the class teacher in creating a safe and engaging learning space

  • Help pupils develop social, emotional, and academic skills

  • Support behaviour management and use de-escalation techniques when needed

  • Work collaboratively with school staff and external agencies to support pupil progress

We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (SEMH, SEN, PRU, or youth work experience desirable)

  • A patient, calm, and resilient approach to behaviour

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Team Teach or similar training is advantageous (training can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
