SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted – Trafford
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50

Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young learners every day?
We are currently seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Trafford. These roles involve supporting students with a variety of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
- Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to implement EHCPs
- Support pupils in developing social skills, independence, and confidence
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
✅ Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or youth work background)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or a TA qualification) – desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
