Teaching personnel are currently recruiting for a general teaching assistant to join our school in the Cardiff Area (CF23). The position is a full-time role (Monday – Friday) and a daily rate of GBP60-75 dependant on experience. This post will begin on the 22nd of February with the potential of a permanent position at the end of the academic year.
Our school in the Cardiff area are excited to introduce a new Teaching Assistant to their large team of 15 who are already within the school. They are currently looking to take on a general assistant who can help support within classes of 25 – 30 pupils alongside the subject teacher. Your role will need you to work closely with the class teacher to ensure all pupils are learning and engaging with their peers.
The school have experienced multiple ways of learning over the years and promote alternate ways of learning alongside the academic curriculum. There will be dedicated staff who will be around the school for any additional support you may need throughout your placement. You will be given access to the facilities in the school such as the reading rooms, learning centre, sports halls and many more throughout your placement to encourage engagement of the pupils.
The ideal teaching assistant…
- Ability to work in a team and on an individual basis
- Able to handle pressured situation’s and deescalate situations that may arise
- Experience working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Child based or young adult-based experience needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
