KS4 Teaching Assistant

Job description

We are currently seeking a KS4 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the Secondary department of an SEN school in Slough.

You will be assisting the class teacher in delivering classes in core subjects: Maths, English and Science. As a secondary Teaching assistant you will have good knowledge of the Secondary National Curriculum and be able to confidently assist pupils on a one to one basis and also in small groups. Ideally the candidate will want to aspire to become a Secondary Teaching assistant.

You will be mainly working with students who need extra help but be able to also assist the rest of the class as necessary. You may also be required to help students with SEN, therefore will need previous experience working with SEN.

As a Key Stage 4 Teaching Assistant you will need at least one years' experience working with young people in a learning environment.

Successful Candidates MUST have:

  • Excellent communication skills a Degree or Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • At least 1+ years' experience working with young people in a learning environment
  • Have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs
