KS2 Learning Support Mentor - Full Time (Monday - Friday) - Swadlincote (DE11)

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated KS2 Learning Support Mentor to work at one of our partnership schools based in Swadlincote for a full time role (Monday - Friday). The role is to start in February 2019 up to June 2019 with the potential to turn into a permanent role. We are looking learning support mentor who can provide 1:1 support to a child in year 4.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to:

  • Help under performing learners pinpoint issues which are creating barriers to learning
  • Develop and implement strategies, which maximise learning outcomes
  • Identify which pupils could benefit from extra support
  • Work with families and outside agencies to construct a support network
  • Maintain records on pupils attendance, punctuality and progress

To be considered for the role, you must have:

  • Relevant experience within primary schools (KS1 or KS2)
  • GCSE, A level or Degree (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the online update service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 relevant references that we can approach
  • A confident approach, knows how to adapt well in different situations
