Teaching Assistant to support pupil 1:1 required in Durham!

We are seeking to appoint a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a bigger than average sized school in Chester-Le-Street to support a pupil who can display challenging behaviour.

The school is going from strength to strength, with a recent Good Ofsted inspection. The pupils are keen learners and behaviour is good. The Year 1 class has 32 pupils, with some pupils who require additional support.

To be considered for the position of Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience of working within Key Stage 1
  • Available ASAP
  • Commitment to working as part of a team
  • Knowledge of creative approaches to encourage pupil learning
