Teaching Personnel's PWR team are working in partnership with a High School in Barnoldswick. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join the school's middle leadership team as the Head of Computing & Business.

Role Overview:

As the Head of Computing & Business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the Computing and Business departments. You will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated educators, designing curriculum frameworks, and implementing strategies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to the school's wider leadership initiatives and participate in decision-making processes to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary leadership to the Computing and Business departments, inspiring colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
• Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that align with national standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and high performance.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching practices, utilizing data-driven insights to inform instructional strategies and intervention plans.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with parents, stakeholders, and external organizations to enrich the educational experiences of students and promote community engagement.
• Uphold the school's ethos and values, promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all aspects of school life.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Computing, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school setting, with a track record of driving academic excellence and staff development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment strategies, and educational best practices within the Computing and Business disciplines.
• Dedication to promoting the holistic development of students and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of educational trends and developments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
