Key Stage 3/4 Tutor for SEND

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with an SEND provision to recruit a part time, flexible Tutor for students in Key Stage 3 and 4. The candidate will be working with students who are struggling in mainstream education and are in need of some extra support with their focus and attitude to work. The role will be based in a community centre environment and will commence as soon as possible, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with students and there are opportunities to take on more pupils depending on your diary.

The role will involve working with students in Looked after Care and those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Often students will display challenging behaviour and you will have a positive attitude towards managing this. The successful candidate will be be proactive in formulating plans for each session with students. The ideal candidate will be patient and passionate about educating young people with SEN.

The provision are looking for tutors to support with English, Maths, Functional Skills and Science where possible. Candidates who are able to work with any or all of these subjects are encouraged to apply. You could be earning up to £30 an hour with tuition through Teaching Personnel. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
