Are you a passionate Geography specialist looking for a rewarding short-term teaching opportunity? A secondary school is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover placement starting ASAP through to the anticipated end date of 18th December 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident educator to deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role requires a subject specialist, ideally with a relevant qualification, who can inspire students while managing all aspects of classroom teaching, including planning, marking, tutor group responsibilities, and school duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver stimulating and well-planned Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan, prepare, and mark work to support pupil progress and attainment

Take responsibility for a tutor group and contribute to pastoral support

Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom

Support the wider school through duties and departmental collaboration
About You:

Strong subject knowledge in Geography (degree-level or equivalent)

Ideally qualified in Geography (QTS desirable but not essential if you are a subject specialist)

Confident in classroom management and student engagement

Organised, enthusiastic, and proactive
