Teacher of Geography – Full Time – Farnborough
(Experienced Teacher • Excellent Behaviour Management • Until December 2026 MAT cover)
Teaching Personnel are supporting a high‑performing secondary school in Farnborough seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed Teacher of Geography to join them on a full‑time basis from September (or sooner for the right candidate).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about inspiring young people to explore the world around them, develop curiosity, and achieve excellent academic outcomes.
About the Role
The school is looking for a Geography specialist who can deliver engaging, challenging and well‑structured lessons across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, excellent behaviour management and the ability to create learning experiences that foster critical thinking, curiosity and a deeper understanding of physical and human geography.
You will join a supportive Humanities team that values collaboration, high expectations and a commitment to professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Geography lessons to KS3–KS4 pupils
- Create a calm, purposeful classroom using effective behaviour management strategies
- Inspire students through creative teaching that builds confidence and deepens understanding
- Use assessment tools to monitor progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
- Contribute to curriculum development, fieldwork planning and departmental enrichment
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues and parents
- Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice
