Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School Opportunity
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Pay: £89 – £100

Are you a recent Humanities graduate with a passion for History, Geography, or Religious Studies? Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience before embarking on a career in education?

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school is seeking a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to work with young people, build confidence in a school setting, and explore a pathway into teaching, youth work, or educational psychology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons in Humanities subjects (History, Geography, RS)

  • Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions for students who require additional support

  • Assist teachers with classroom management, resource preparation, and student progress tracking

  • Encourage student engagement and support positive behaviour

  • Work closely with staff to support a diverse range of learners, including those with SEND

Ideal Candidate:

  • A recent graduate in a Humanities-related field

  • Passionate about education and helping young people succeed

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Friendly, proactive, and able to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

  • Any prior experience working or volunteering with young people is a plus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
