History teaching role at Good rated RC secondary school

Our client school is an oversubscribed, highly performing school, which was graded as GOOD with OUTSTANDING features by Ofsted.

We are looking to appoint a passionate, highly motivated and inspirational History Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an innovative, enthusiastic and collaborative team. History is a very popular subject at GCSE level and the department take great pride in delivering a high quality and diverse curriculum. However, our vision goes beyond great GCSE results as we try to nurture curious, reflective young adults who will leave equipped to embrace the world and reach their full potential.

As a school we have a full and varied extra-curricular program which is exceptionally well attended.

This is a permanent position with a start date of January 2018 and would suit an experienced teacher or an NQT.

We are committed to continuous improvement and supporting individual's professional development. We have recently invested in TEEP (Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme) which commences in September 2017, this is a CPD programme unique in that it models the model putting research on effective teaching for effective learning into practice. It supports teacher planning, motivates students and re-energises classroom activity. This programme as a proven track record with many teachers claiming the process as being transformational.
