History Teacher
Manchester

Teaching Personnel have an excellent opportunity for a passionate and engaging teacher of History to join a dynamic successful secondary school from February 2020. This is a full time maternity cover running until the end of the academic year.

The successful History teacher will join a highly successful and Ofsted Outstanding school and will set high expectation to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils. They will take responsibility of preparing, planning and delivering structured lessons across stages 3 and 4 and will be accountable for pupil’s attainment, progress and outcome. We are looking for a History teacher who is able to demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge and will be able adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.

Highlights of this History teacher role:

  • Full time maternity cover commencing February 2020.
  • The successful History teacher will take responsibility of teaching KS3 and GCSE History across a range of age groups and abilities.
  • Salary to reflect teaching experience and MPS/UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
  • Introduction to a large Ofsted Outstanding secondary school located in Manchester.

The successful History teacher will join a large mixed secondary school located in the heart of the Manchester. Due to the schools inner city location, it is a multi-cultural and multi-faith inclusive learning environment for all students. The school consistently receives excellent Ofsted reports and has become oversubscribed and highly reputable in the local area. For those who drive, the school is located just a short drive from the city centre and has parking facilities for staff members. For those on public transport, the school has excellent public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas.
