Pay scale: (£30,000 to £46,525 )

Start: September 2024

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a secondary academy with a values-driven, family ethos. Our client academy seeks to appoint an ambitious and dynamic Teacher of English, with the drive, determination and skills to nurture and develop the potential of their increasingly aspirational pupils. As a quality provider of 11-16 education for the immediate community of Daventry, the school understands and embraces their responsibility to deliver the very best standard of education possible.

This school prides themselves on continuous growth and improvement seen across both students and staff, most recently recognised for their Ofsted ‘GOOD’ rating, they are now looking to continue and grow into the new academic year. This school is well established with a strong SLT presence for support.

Situated in Daventry, offering excellent public transport links, easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Northampton, Coventry and Rugby, with ample staff and teacher parking on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related field (PGCE/QTS is desirable).
  • Proven experience in teaching English to students of varying abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
