History teacher required in Darlington to start ASAP

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a History teacher to work within a large secondary school teaching to Key stage 3/4. The successful candidate will be required to be "positive, proactive in their teaching and have a real passion for your subject". Through this vibrant schools vision of creating a stimulating and aspiring basis to learning, the school has maintained excellent results within the humanities department and the majority of students go to study at University. It is essential that the successful candidate will have experience within a classroom environment as you need to show confidence, authority and organisation within the classroom as students will be sitting extremely important examination at the end of the year.

Essential

  • Have a genuine passion for History and the ability to inspire and interest students through creative lessons
  • Support the schools aims and objectives for teaching and learning
  • Use an appropriate rang of observation, assessment, monitoring and recording strategies as a basis for setting challenging learning objectives for pupils of all backgrounds
  • Set prep/homework to extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired as appropriate
