Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required for Primary School

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in the St Austell area of Cornwall who are looking for support from a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

The role of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is to work with teachers to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. The primary focus is to do specified work with individuals and groups under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher. Provide short-term cover supervision to whole classes on a scheduled and unscheduled basis. Responsibility for the management of Teaching Assistants and other classroom support staff across the school and the development of a specialist area as and when required.

In order to work as a HLTA, you will either need to have HLTA status, be a qualified and experienced teaching assistant, or a qualified teacher.

The primary school in St Austell are looking for a HLTA to both support in the classroom and cover lessons where required. You should ideally have experience of working across all primary age ranges and be confident with the National Curriculum and Read Write Inc.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
