Join a vibrant secondary school in Tameside, seeking to appoint a teacher of Health & Social Care from November 2020.

The successful teacher will join the schools Humanities department and will take responsibility of delivering BTEC Level 1 and Level 2 Health & Social Care. They will ensure the highest levels of progress for all pupils and will have a passion for their subject.

The post holder will take responsibility for the following duties:

• Planning and delivering BTEC Level 1 and 2 Health & social
• Monitoring and evaluating pupil progress.
• Motivating pupils to engage in learning opportunities.
• Managing behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy.
• Ensure the safeguarding, safety and well-being of all pupils.
• Covering lessons in the short term absence of teachers.

We are looking for an experienced qualified teacher who has previous experience delivering the BTEC Health & Social Care. We also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.

This large 11-16 secondary school is located a short drive from the surrounding areas of Manchester, Stockport and the High Peak and caters to students to a diverse background of students from all areas. For those who drive, the school has a car park accessible for all staff member.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
