We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Thrapston to lead a specialist educational provision in Northampton, supporting young people who thrive in a personalised, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for a confident school leader who can drive high standards in teaching, learning, pastoral support, and whole-school development.

• Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Work Location: On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the school.
• Lead, motivate, and develop teaching and support staff.
• Drive excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum design.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture where all pupils can succeed.
• Oversee the provision for pupils with SEN and additional needs.
• Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and statutory guidance.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, external agencies, and the wider community.
• Monitor school performance and implement effective school improvement strategies.
• Manage budgets and resources in line with organisational and educational priorities.

Requirements

• A degree in a relevant subject area.
• QTS or QTLS (or an equivalent recognised overseas qualification).
• Substantial leadership experience in a school (e.g., Deputy Head, Assistant Head, Headteacher, or similar strategic role).
• Proven track record of improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and SEN best practice.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making, and people‑management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
