Location: Northampton, NN3

Employment Type: Full-Time, 37 hours per week, 37 working weeks per year

Salary Range: £25,110.00 – £27,400.00 annually (FTE) (20,280.15-22,123.77 actual)

Position Summary

A college in Northampton area is seeking a motivated and student-centered Job Coach to support students in developing workplace skills, securing employment/placements, and achieving long-term career success. The Job Coach works closely with students, faculty, employers, and support staff to provide individualised employment coaching and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group job coaching to students

  • Assist students with job readiness skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, workplace behavior, and time management

  • Support students in job searches, applications, and onboarding

  • Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and community partners to align employment opportunities with student goals

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and reports

  • Serve as a liaison between students and employers, offering follow-up support as needed

  • Promote inclusive employment practices and student independence

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Experience in job coaching, career services, education, or human services

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations

  • Basic computer skills (email, word processing, data tracking)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a college or postsecondary setting

  • Knowledge of workforce development or supported employment models

  • Familiarity with disability services or student support programs
