Graduate Youth Worker - Ealing

We have a rewarding opportunity for graduates interested in youth work in an outstanding School for children across Primary to Post-16 stages based in Ealing. With new pupils to start during the Summer term they are looking for strong academic graduates who can hit the ground running and be open to ongoing development and training.

The school are looking to appoint graduates who will be able to engage pupils back into learning and build positive relationships. Experience supporting young people with social and emotional difficulties or mental health is ideal due to the needs of the pupils but is not ideal. Successful graduates will work in class with up to 10 pupils supporting with learning and ensuring that their welfare is seen as being vital to their progression.

The schools have two sites both within local distance from each other:

  • the main site for primary aged pupils with some older pupils using site for Art
  • the second site for secondary and Post-16 pupils with vocational education facilities such as beauty therapy and music studios

Successful candidates will:

  • Demonstrate a record of UK degree qualification
  • Have good experience or understanding of supporting young people in learning or young adults with mental health needs
  • Demonstrate a patient and creative attitude to delivering curriculum for pupils
  • Be fully committed to learning from and contributing to a team
  • Have excellent communication skills to engage both with pupils, parents and colleagues
