Graduate teaching assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a number of graduates to work as teaching assistants within our client secondary school located in Bolton.

With upcoming summer examinations, the Headteacher of this school seeks to appoint graduates to work as teaching assistants and provide additional tuition to pupils preparing for exams.

Whether you are a graduate considering a career as a teacher in the future or purely want to gain experience working as a teaching assistant, this is the ideal opportunity for you.

• Full time graduate teaching assistant roles available
• Providing tuition to pupils across a range of subjects including; English, Maths and Science
• Temporary positions available starting ASAP through till the end of the academic year (July 2018)
• Earn up to £350 per week whilst gaining invaluable experience towards a career in education

As a graduate teaching assistant within our client school you will have the opportunity to excel your knowledge and experience of working within secondary education. You will have the opportunity to support the learning of pupils in a range of different roles including; providing tuition in specific subjects, covering full lessons in the absence of teachers and also supporting individual pupils who have special education needs.

Located just 1 mile from Bolton town centre, this 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school is easily commutable via the strong public transport links or via the M61 (For those with their own transport) from the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford, Wigan and Manchester.

This is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses (PGCE, Schools Direct and Teach First) to further your experience working within secondary schools. Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education or transferable skills that relate to supporting the learning and development of pupils aged 11-16 (Desirable not essential).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
