Graduate teaching assistant - Required in Bolton based secondary Schools.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting graduates and aspiring teachers on behalf of a number of our client schools located in Bolton.

  • Graduate teaching assistant positions available from September 2018
  • Supporting pupils across a range of subjects including Maths, English, Science and Physical Education
  • Gain experience across a number of secondary schools in Bolton
  • Opportunity to lead full classes as well as provide tuition to small groups of pupils
  • Attractive rates of pay and opportunity to work in faith and non faith schools - £1200 per month

Working as a graduate teaching assistant will be challenging yet extremely rewarding, supporting your teaching aspirations and giving you invaluable experience. This will be full time under the direction of the schools SENCO and also teachers, providing group and 1:1 support in lessons as a teaching assistant, whilst also tutoring within your specialist subject area preparing children for exams and offering revision sessions.

If you are beginning your teacher training next September or are looking to secure a position on a PGCE/Schools Direct or Teach First, this is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary classroom experience!

Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working within a secondary school is desirable but NOT essential, you will need to have worked with children aged 11-16 and be knowledgeable of the education system and keen to make a career out of teaching. A number of Bolton based secondary schools are working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a number of talented graduates to work as teaching assistants prior to commencing teacher training.

Our client schools located in Bolton are easily accessible via public transport from Bolton town centre and are commutable from the surrounding areas for those with their own transport - Leigh, St Helens, Salford, Chorley and Bolton.
