Are you looking to earn some money following your university studies as well as support a possible future PGCE application gaining relevant experience?
A secondary school in the South Manchester area is looking to take on a Graduate Cover Supervisor who can work within their school starting in September. This role requires a graduate who is confident and is potentially looking to be a teacher in the future. Any previous experience or working with young people or students, in a secondary school, primary school or youth work setting is highly desirable showing your ability to engage with young people. The successful graduate should be confident in engaging with young people aged 11 – 16.
Highlights of the cover supervisor role:
- Get paid for delivering pre-set work within a secondary school environment
- Available role for an astute graduate looking ahead of September
- Earning potential of up to GBP350 per week (depending on previous experience working in a secondary school)
- Gain valuable experience working in a secondary school setting covering lessons as an unqualified teacher
- Ideal role for a prospective future teacher
- Full time job opportunity with potential for part time depending upon specific circumstances
The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher. The role commands a certain level of flexibility as you may be delivering and supervising classes varying in size, ability and age. The successful cover supervisor would be covering a range of subjects giving you amazing experience for a future as a teacher.
This secondary school is situated in the heart of south Manchester close to the Didsbury area making it very easy to access surrounding areas of Fallowfield, Rusholme, Wythenshawe and Trafford. Local bus routes make this school easily accessible as well as those living nearby on the Metrolink tram line.
- Work alongside professional teachers, gaining experience of working within a school
- Opportunity to network within the school setting
This role will suit recent graduates or those due to graduate imminently who have some experience of engaging with young adults aged 11 – 16. Graduates who are confident in their approach and have a professional manner would be ideal. If you are looking to pursue a future role in teaching, then apply now with your latest CV.
This role would also suit a more experienced cover supervisor – someone who has previously fulfilled the role in a secondary school or someone who is passionate about working within a secondary school.
