Teachers of Geography required in Berkshire.

We are seeking an experienced, Newly Qualified Teacher or Graduate of Geography to assist with local Berkshire Secondary Schools.

Over the years, Teaching Personnel have built excellent relationships with various schools located in and around the Berkshire area and continue to successfully provide staff in their time of need. Our schools have a commitment to providing a pleasant teaching environment in which good teachers can excel.

For the new Academic Year we are keen to recruit Teachers with a genuine and passionate attitude toward their students and toward raising attainment within the Geography for long term and short term assignments.

As a Cover Teacher for Geography, you will be responsible for the successful completion of competent lessons, teaching students across KS2, KS3 and KS4. However you will not be expected to prepare lessons as these will already be available to you.

We are looking for someone who is able to bring experience along with fresh ideas and passion to the job and someone who is committed to providing a good quality learning experience for students. The role can work around you and your current commitments, you will have an online diary which can be managed between you and the consultant to ensure the correct and suitable work will be offered to you.

Skills

Applicants will need to have qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK, or an equivalent teaching qualification from overseas. They will need to effectively deliver the national curriculum with energy and enthusiasm. In addition applicants should possess:

  • Good classroom management skills
  • Experience of teaching in UK schools / Or if newly qualified have a real passion to excel
  • Ability carry out effective lesson plans
  • Commitment to raising standards of learning and a passion for teaching Geography across a wide ability range
  • High level of self motivation
  • Good organisation and interpersonal skills
