About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a highly supportive specialist education setting in Yeovil. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working closely with experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils thrive both academically and socially.

The pupils you will support are aged 4 to 16 and have a range of additional needs including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and adapted lessons

  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and behaviour

  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Encourage independence and confidence in learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
