A ‘Good’ school in the Derbyshire area are looking to recruit a MFL teacher who has experience teaching French and German through to KS4. Teaching up to A level standard will be an advantage. The school are looking for a fully qualified teacher to join the Language department who have a strong determination and commitment to continue helping students achieve well throughout the school.

The right candidate will be passionate about languages and have good subject knowledge with a proven background of experience. You should be able to plan work carefully so that it builds on what the students already know and can do. They use a wide range of resources and strategies to engage and maintain students’ interests.

Their most recent Ofsted report stated that ‘students achieve well throughout the school, particularly in Modern Foreign Languages. The proportion of students gaining five or more good GCSE grades, including English and mathematics, is above the national average at 94%’.

The right candidate will have:

• The ability to teach French at KS3 and KS4

• The ability to teach German at KS3 and KS4

• The aptitude to nurture learners, encourage and stimulate young people

• Strong classroom management techniques

• Monitoring and development of student progression

• Hardworking and motivated
