Forest School Leader – Woolton (L25)
Are you passionate about outdoor education and inspiring young minds? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Forest School Leader to deliver engaging, nature-based learning experiences for primary school children in Woolton (L25).
Position: Forest School Leader
Location: Woolton, Liverpool (L25)
Hours: Variable – typically 8:30am to 3:30pm
Contract Type: Flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate Forest School sessions in accordance with the Forest School ethos.
- Create a safe, inclusive outdoor learning environment where children can build confidence, resilience, and a deep connection with nature.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure all activities adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through hands-on, nature-based experiences.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and the wider community to support children's holistic development.
Essential Criteria
- Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification (or currently working towards completion).
- Valid First Aid qualification, including outdoor-specific first aid.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience working with children in either an educational or outdoor learning setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for outdoor learning and child development.
Desirable Attributes
- Familiarity with local wildlife, plants, and ecosystems.
- Experience in bushcraft, environmental conservation, or nature-based crafts.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
