Teaching Personnel are seeking a English Teacher for a full time role for September 2019

"We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative English teacher to join our diverse Team. You must have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK teaching experience. Applications from Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged and an excellent NQT package would be available if appropriate. " - Southampton based Secondary School

The post would be suitable for newly qualified teachers (NQTs) and teachers on the main pay range.

Teaching Personnel are working with a high achieving Comprehensive Secondary School based in on the outskirts of Southampton city centre. The English department have a new position to take on a passionate educator to inspire the pupils as this OFSTED rated 'Outstanding' School.

English results for 2018 were 77% Grades 4 to 9 (in the new grading system), with 65% of all students securing Grades 4 to 9 in English and Mathematics last year. The department has 14 dedicated teaching rooms, a highly committed and dedicated team of staff including a Core Progress Assistant (English TA).

Teaching Personnel will ensure that the successful candidate has:

  • comprehensive induction including a dedicated mentor
  • continuous professional learning, development and improvement
  • the opportunity to contribute to raising standards for all of the schools students
