Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an English Teacher who is seeking a new challenge in a forward thinking secondary school. The school are looking for an experienced Teacher of English who is able to come in and hit the ground running. NQT's will also be considered but candidates MUST have a specialism in English with QTS.

The school require an English Teacher ASAP on a full-time basis to cover an un-planned absence within the dept. The incoming English Teacher will mainly be teaching KS3 English and they will be responsible for the full preparation and planning of lessons. The time table is made up of approx. 18 hours of English teaching with the rest of the timetable made up of general cover throughout school.

This is an 11-18 school where students achieve results above the national average in the English department. Behaviour of some of the students can be difficult due to the catchment area of the school, however on the whole students do present friendly and welcoming behaviour.
