Fully qualified English teachers required

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of schools in the Luton/Bedfordshire area who are seeking innovative and motivated English teachers to take on roles in September 2018. The ideal candidate would be passionate about English and capable of creating engaging, interesting and diverse lessons with detailed preparation involved. The candidate should be confident teaching the subject to both key stages 3 and 4 as well as catering to varying learning styles within those age groups. A recognised teaching qualification; either PGCE, GTP, Cert Ed, BA with QTS would be ideal, however we are also interested in hearing from unqualified teachers with at least a years experience.

A successful candidate will also:

  • Have a significant level of experience teaching English in a secondary school environment
  • Be self - motivated as well as capable of motivating students to achieve their full potential
  • Be incredibly organised in terms of preparing lessons and marking work; keeping track of pupil progress
  • Drive progress within the department in order to raise and maintain results
  • Bring a sense of creativity to the role and perform lessons in an innovative way
  • Have strong knowledge of English as well as the current English curriculum
  • Be genuinely passionate about supporting students
  • Excellent classroom, communication and behavioural management skills

In order to perform this role you will need:

  • A current Child Workforce DBS registered with the DBS Update Service
  • Two recent references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
