English Teacher – Secondary School – Levenshulme – September 2025 Start – Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

Are you a passionate and dynamic English Teacher eager to inspire students through literature and language? Are you ready to join a supportive school community dedicated to academic excellence and student growth?

A forward-thinking secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a full-time English Teacher to join their English department from September 2025. This permanent position is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Role Overview:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience

  • Plan and assess work to ensure all students make excellent progress

  • Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in a diverse student body

  • Support school initiatives and contribute to extra-curricular activities such as drama clubs, debating, or writing competitions

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to department development
