We are currently working with a well-established secondary school in Rochdale that is seeking a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team for the upcoming academic year. About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will teach both language and literature, helping students develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. This is a rewarding opportunity to nurture a love of literature and language while encouraging critical thinking in students.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4

Foster a passion for literature and language, encouraging creativity and expression in students

Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback

Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive and productive learning environment

Work collaboratively with other staff to support student achievement and well-being
-
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Hold a relevant English degree and teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
-
Have a passion for teaching English and inspiring students to reach their potential
-
Be experienced in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (NQT applications are also welcome)

Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

Be proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team

Have a good understanding of the UK national curriculum and assessment practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
