English Teacher – Secondary School, Bury
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)

A thriving secondary school in Bury is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, in a supportive and well-resourced department.

The Role:

You will deliver high-quality English lessons, plan engaging schemes of work, and support students in developing strong literacy skills. The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject and committed to making a positive impact on student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A commitment to delivering inclusive and inspiring lessons

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

  • Ability to provide professional references
