Qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant – Stockton-on-Tees
A friendly and nurturing nursery school in Stockton-on-Tees is currently seeking a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children’s development in a warm, welcoming environment.
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Start Date: ASAP
Position: Full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant
Pay: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
About the Role:

Supporting the teaching and care of children aged 2–5 years
-
Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
-
Supporting children’s learning, play, and personal development in line with the EYFS framework
-
Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
-
Working closely with teachers and other staff to support individual pupil needs
-
Supporting routines including mealtimes, toileting, and outdoor learning
What We’re Looking For:
-
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
-
Previous experience in an early years or nursery setting
-
A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
-
Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for working with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
