Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to fill a vacany in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the DH7 area of Durham ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education who is looking for a long term role with the potential of going permanent, if a good fit for the shcool.

The role includes:

• Supporting pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage with their learning and development

• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and creative activities

• Encouraging children to reach their full potential in a safe and stimulating environment

• Helping to create a positive classroom atmosphere and building strong relationships with pupils

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting (nursery or school-based experience desirable)

• Demonstrate a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach

• Possess good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Hold relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Early Years qualification, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
