Teaching Personnel are looking for an EAL Teaching Assistant to support our client school's new arrivals in September 2019.

• Full time role, term time only
• September 2019 start date
• £1200 - £1300 per month
• Introduction to a vibrant successful secondary school in central Manchester

Due to an increasing number of new international arrivals at our client school, Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced and well qualified EAL Teaching Assistant to join their Special Educational Needs department in September.

The successful candidate will support international students on a one-to-one and small group basis providing literacy support and helping pupils to develop the correct verbal and written English. Students may also require support across a range of subjects and therefore, the successful candidate will have a flexible approach to learning.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in planning and delivering academic sessions to pupils with English as an additional language. They will have excellent spoken English and good knowledge of Literacy and Numeracy. The successful EAL Teaching Assistant will have the ability to speak one or more languages spoken in the local community.

Good knowledge and significant experience of the National Curriculum (KS3/KS4) is required for this role as is a C or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

Our client school is located in south area of central Manchester and is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre. The school is a smaller than average mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. The school has a brand new building with excellent facilities throughout.
