Drama Graduate – Wigan (Janurary)
A large and vibrant secondary school in Wigan are currently looking to recruit a Drama graduate on a full-time temporary basis to join their support team from Janurary as a lesson cover supervisor!
The secondary school are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Drama graduate who is considering a career in teaching/education to cover lesson in the performing arts department and across other departments in the absence of class teachers. The nature of absences include; short term teacher sickness, training days and time for planning and preparation.
The successful Drama graduate fulfilling the role of lesson cover supervisor will:
- Supporting a range of departments across the school with teacher absences
- Delivering pre set to a class of pupils and successfully engaging them with this to ensure pupils remain on task
- Taking the register at the start of a lesson
- Managing classroom behaviour when necessary
- The school will brief you on your timetable for the day
- Fantastic opportunity for a drama graduates who is considering a PGCE / teacher training!
- You will earn GBP280 - GBP300 per week!
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in drama / performing arts
- Be a confident and enthusiastic individual who works well with young people
- Have previous experience working with young people
- Have availability Monday to Friday 9am-3pm (part-time opportunity also available!)
The secondary school is located just a 10 minute drive from Wigan town centre, close to the area of Hindley and borders Westhoughton, making it accessible by both car and local public transport. The school are keen to meet with potential candidates ASAP!
