KS4 Higher-Level Teaching Assistant – Salford (M27)

Do you have experience as a Teaching Assistant?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to begin working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Salford. This is a full-time role with an imeediate start. There may the possibility of a permanent school contract after a successful trial period paid through Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will work school hours, throughout KS4 classes.

Senior leadership require a HLTA who can provide small group Maths and English interventions when necessary. Therefore, candidates must be confident managing disruptive behaviour. Alongside interventions, HLTAs will also be expected to provide general support and one-to-one tuition when needed. This may involve working with pupils who have been excluded from lessons.

  • Pupil Referral Unit in Salford (M27), easily accessible by bus, train or car.
  • £85+ per day through PAYE (no umbrella company or agency fees) paid weekly.
  • Full-time role Monday-Friday paid on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel until the end of the academic year.
  • Great opportunities thereafter through Teaching Personnel.
  • Opportunity to work closely with pupils with SEN and SEMH needs, making a real difference. 
  • ASAP start following registration with Teaching Personnel.

This PRU work closely with the local authority to provide a safe and pleasant learning environment, supporting re-integration when possible. They pride themselves on their personalised and engaging curriculum. The successful HLTA is expected to match such values, building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to maximise progress. A confident and capable Teaching Assistant with an understanding of Behaviour is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
