Teacher of Design and Technology – Nottingham
Are you a fully qualified Design Technology Teacher who can teach Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5?
Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of our client secondary school in Nottingham who are looking to recruit a teacher of Design Technology to start after Easter. The school are looking to recruit a teacher on a full-time basis to cover a long-term absence. You will be required to plan, deliver, and mark the work of the students so experience with this is essential. Ideally you will be a FQT, however, NQT's and Unqualified Teachers who do not have the desired experience are more than welcome to apply.
The role:
- Starting on Tuesdya 20th April until July 2021 initially
- Potential to continue into September
- Working 4 days, Tuesday - Friday
- Year 10 and Year 11 – Engineering - OCR Level 1/2 Cambridge National Certificate in Engineering Design
- Year 12 - AQA Level 3 Advanced GCE in Design and Technology: Product Design
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience teaching in a UK school at secondary level
- Be able to commit to a long-term role which includes departmental meetings, parents evenings etc
- Have a respectful and professional manner towards pupils and staff within the school
- Experience of KS4 and KS5
All candidates MUST have:
- A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE)
- The right to work within the UK
- The ability to provide two references from your most recent employers
- Must have, or be willing to obtain a Child Workforce only DBS, which is on the Update Service
