Dance & Drama Teacher

Dance & Drama vacancy- Two term cover- Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Dance & Drama Teacher on behalf of our client 11-18 Roman Catholic secondary school located within the Wigan LEA.

- Full time position teaching Dance & Drama to GCSE level

- Two term vacancy starting in January 2018

- Ofsted graded 'GOOD' Secondary school

- Pay of £100-140 a day dependent upon experience

The timetable for this role is predominantly to Years 10 & 11. However, there will be occasions when you will be expected to teach to KS3. The incoming teacher will also be expected to (from time to time) participate in the after school dance clubs that the school offer.

In it's most recent 'Ofsted' report, the school were commended for maintaining the high quality of education for the pupils. It also highlighted the positive relationships pupils have with staff. As a result the pupils behave well and this is highlighted by the fact that there hasn't been a permanent exclusion in many years. There is a real sense of 'community' within the school and this creates a very pleasant atmosphere to work in.

The school is located centrally which offers excellent accessibility to the surrounding areas of Standish, Shevington & Orrell and is a short drive away from Ashton-in-Makerfield and St Helens. It also has excellent public transport links direct from the town centre.
