Cover Supervisor
Ofsted 'Outstanding' secondary school
Stockport
Are you an undergraduate considering teaching in the future and keen to develop your classroom experience? Are you looking for a new role from January 2019?
Teaching Personnel have a new opportunity to appoint a cover supervisor to join our Ofsted graded 'outstanding' partner school in Stockport. This is a full-time position due to start in January 2019 running up until the end of the academic year. Whilst this is a temporary position in the first instance, the option to start a temp to perm contract is possible for the right applicant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of whole classes during short-term absences of teachers, providing instructions for lessons as provided for by the absent teacher. The successful cover supervisor will ensure the good behaviour of all students and will make sure that students engage in the learning activity. The ability to build strong and effective working relationship is essential for this role.
Our partner school is located in Stockport just a short drive from the city centre and surrounding areas of Heaton Chapel, Heaton Norris and Heaton Moor in Greater Manchester. With over 1,300 pupils on roll, our partner school is a community comprehensive secondary school for pupils aged 11-16. The schools motto is "Educating for life." The school aims to put pupils at the heart of everything it does, and hopes to ensure that they are fully prepared - in terms of qualifications, skills, knowledge and confidence. The school operates a college system, designed to help pupils feel safe and secure. This is an exciting opportunity to join our partner school as they aim to remain a "vibrant, learning-focused organisation" with which all pupils, parents, carers, staff and governors feel genuinely proud to be associated.
To apply for this role or to find out further information on this role or any other position with Teaching Personnel, please contact the Manchester Secondary branch on 0161 242 1794.
