Immediate Start | Long-Term to July 2026 | Potential Permanent Opportunity
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school in Christchurch, part of a large and well-established academy trust, to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and adaptable individual to gain long-term experience in a secondary school setting, covering lessons on a general supply basis. The role is available for an immediate start and will run until the end of July 2026, with the potential to become permanent if both the school and candidate feel it’s the right fit.
The Role:

Full-time Cover Supervisor position

Delivering pre-set work and supervising classes across a range of subjects

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
-
Supporting students to stay on task and engaged with their learning
-
Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff

The Ideal Candidate:

Confident leading classes of secondary-aged students
-
Background in education, teaching, or supporting children (essential)
-
Sports coaching, dance, or similar leadership background highly desirable
-
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
Enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable
QTS is not required for this role.
This role is ideal for graduates or aspiring teachers looking to gain hands-on classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or a long-term career in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
