Mainstream Secondary School

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Christchurch is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join their team from April 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate D&T specialist to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging, practical lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving and technical skills. The school is open to teachers with experience in a range of D&T disciplines, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Engineering.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Design & Technology Teacher (QTS or equivalent)

  • Have experience teaching D&T at KS3 and KS4

  • Be confident delivering practical lessons in a safe and well-managed workshop environment

  • Have strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student achievement

  • Be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to contributing to the wider school community
