Job description

A secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to deliver engaging and practical Design and Technology lessons across the secondary age range. The successful candidate will inspire creativity, problem-solving and technical skills, while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level (including areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Food Technology, depending on specialism)

  • Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be committed to safeguarding and student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
