2017 saw record results across the UK and Teaching Personnel are recruiting a vast range of teachers ready for the start of the 2018/19 academic year. In particular a Computer Science teacher in the popular area of Welwyn Garden City.

Computer Science is a very popular subject at KS4 with students. Last years summer examination results demonstrated fantastic attainment in both the project module and written paper. This performance has been consistently good since the introduction of the Computing Science qualification and schools are now introducing GCSE Business Enterprise and Marketing this year.

We are working with a fantastic secondary school with a great student body and dedicated and talented staff. You will join the school at an exciting time as they continue their journey as we they are now expanding our year 7 intake and will be again in 2019.

The vision for the school is to deliver outstanding education to our students, not only in terms of academic success, but by ensuring we develop the "whole child". In order to enjoy a successful adult life it is important that students develop characteristics such as leadership, organisation, resilience, initiative, and communication.

The essential qualities for the Head of Computing and Business include:

A qualified and effective classroom practitioner with experience of teaching Computing and the ability to teach Business at KS3 & KS4

A commitment to, and a passion for, the teaching and Leading of Computing and Business

A commitment to developing their own pedagogy and that of others

A commitment to meeting all the requirements for safeguarding children

Effective organisation and communication skills

A commitment to Inclusion
