A large secondary school, rated Good by Ofsted, is looking for a strong addition to their successful Computer Science Department from September 2020. This position is due to last the full academic year in the first instance. The ability to confidently deliver to GCSE standard, with recent demonstrable experience, is absolutely essential.

Graded Good by Ofsted and achieving above the national average academically this is an excellent opportunity for a Computer Science teacher looking for a position in the new academic year. The senior leadership team have been a relentless focus on improving teaching with the majority of teaching good or outstanding. Applications are therefore encouraged from teachers of all experience including NQTs or more experienced classroom practitioners as long they are able to teach KS3/KS4 Computer Science. A Level teaching experience would be desirable but not essential.

The successful Computer Science teacher will be involved with all aspects of the curriculum, including the features of safe, secure and responsible practice as well as Python programming and website coding. The school also has fantastic facilities with fully equipped Computing suites with the latest equipment at the teachers’ and students’ disposal.

The school is held in very high regard both in the local area and also nationally, and is driven to ensure all pupils are provided with equal opportunities and a well-rounded school experience. The broad and varied curriculum, supported by a wealth of teaching aids and newly refurbished computing suites, is coupled with a vast array of extra-curricular activities including lunch/after school clubs and regular trips out of school.
