Are you a fully qualified Biology Teacher?
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Leyland, aiding them in the recruitment of a Biology specialist. Due to a member of staff going on maternity leave, our client school are currently looking for a teacher to cover this absence. The role is to start on the 28th October until July 2020.
- Part time Biology teacher needed for an October start until the end of the academic year.
- Working days are Tuesday to Friday (4 days a week)
- Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Secondary school in Bury.
- Teaching across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four - GCSE. (KS3/KS4)
- Working alongside other members of the Science department to promote positive behaviour management.
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum.
Application Requirements
Must hold QTS alongside subject specific degree level qualification or equivalent within a relevant Science subject.
Both experienced and newly qualified Science teachers are welcome to apply as relevant support will be provided.
Working as a Biology teacher in our client school will involve leading a full time table delivering inventive Science lessons whilst planning, preparing and evaluating all class work. The successful candidate will be expected to assess and evaluate student’s progress and report this back to Senior staff members in order to take appropriate action to ensure pupils meet their aims and objectives.
You will be expected to support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Science alongside ensuring the lessons meet the needs of students at various levels of learning. The successful candidate will also be required to promote positive behaviour management and provide additional support for those who require this within the classroom.
Our client Secondary School is located in Leyland and can be accessed via major transport links, and traffic is fairly light around the area.
