Job description

Behaviour support specialist role in Hull

The Role

Teaching Personnel are in the process of recruiting for a behavioural specialist TA to work in Scunthorpe focusing in on improving attainment for pupils with behaviour problems. The school works to provide 1:1 support for pupils in need of hep with core skills as well as any additional topic work that might be needed.

Your role will primarily focus on working with KS3 and 4 pupils within a school setting to ensure that a respective pupil would obtain the best education possible. The roles are likely to be for students who will attend school for part of the working day, but not the full school hours that would be the norm for most pupils.

Behavioural management would be the key characteristic in your role, as it is likely many of the pupils you will be working with may exhibit challenging behaviour. For this reason, ideally you will be Team Teach trained or willing to undertake a training course through us. This would be important as de-escalation is an important skill when working with challenging behaviour.
